Characterization and simulation of the structure of nanoparticle aggregates from a spouted bed:
Nanoparticle aggregates produced in a spouted bed exhibit complex morphologies and highly intricate internal architectures, which exert a decisive influence on their chemical and physical properties, including optical behavior, aerodynamic performance, and transport characteristics. Owing to their nanoscale dimensions, direct morphological analysis in three-dimensional (3D) is particularly challenging. This project seeks to establish quantitative correlations between two-dimensional (2D) descriptors and 3D morphological parameters, and to reconstruct 3D aggregates from 2D data in order to gain deeper insights into their geometric features and internal organization.
