Efficient drying by microwave radiation of clay building materials such as roof tiles, clinker bricks and ceramics.
Experimental investigations are carried out with a microwave dryer, which has a power of 2 kW and where many process parameters are determined online.
Simulations of microwave heating are realized by coupling the electromagnetic field with the heat transport and validated by experiments.
